The
Brown Bear Vacation Home
at Wallowa Lake is a private home. We are in a quiet
residential area on the west side of the lake. You'll
find several decks to enjoy the charming views of
the lake and forest. The marinas are just a few minutes
away by car for boating, fishing and other water sports.
Our home was remodeled in a fun Northstyle
Country Lodge design. There is a large master suite
with a king size bed and private bath. (Master has
a unique skylight with a view of an eagles nest!!!)
Bedroom 2 has twin beds, a private deck and a bath
next to it! Bedroom three has a queen size bed with
a bath across the hall. Bedroom four has a double
bed and shares the bath with the queen room.
This is the perfect home for three couples who want
the luxury of private bedrooms and bathrooms for each
couple!
We provide fluffy towels and soft bed linens for your
stay. The beds are pillowtops and very comfy!!
There are two TV's, both with a DVD and one with VHS
player. You'll also find a stereo and CD player and
basic cable TV.
Plenty of games in the game room! Big fireplace in
the cozy family room.
Sunny, open kitchen is stocked with the essentials
including dishes, pots and pans, toaster, microwave,
dishwasher, second sink on center island and special
touches like the coffee bean grinder! There is a BBQ
grill on the deck along with a patio table and chairs
for nature lovers.
New berber carpet and hardwood floor add to the comfort
you'll experience in this home! The Kitchen/Dining
also has a large solid oak trestle table with views
of the forest and lake. Comfy fun furnishings like
a log futon and log coffee table in front of the fireplace
add to the delightful atmosphere in our home.
Please leave your boat at the marina as we have no
direct access from our home. We have parking for three
cars in our driveway. We'll provide maps of the lake
access before you arrive along with other details
you will find helpful. We do limit the number of guests
at any one time to ten people and we do not allow
pets, motor homes, or tents.
Pack light as we have plenty of stairs in the Brown
Bear Vacation Home! Bring your food and personal items
and plan to have a wonderful relaxing stay on Wallowa
Lake!

Rates:
Oct 1st to June 15, $200
per night for four to seven nights. High Season Summer rate from June 16th to
October 1st $290 per night for a four night
minimum. Four night minimum
on all holiday weekends, Chief Joseph, Alpenfest
weekends, ThanksGiving, Christmas Holidays are considered high season also. Lodging Tax of 6% will be added to
all bookings
Cancellations:
You can cancel your reservation without charge if
over 30 days ahead of time with a $100.00 processing
fee.
If you must cancel within 30 days of your arrival
we will refund 50% of your paid amount, if we can rent the property again. Sorry but
no refunds for weather conditions, late arrivals or
early departures.
Checking
In:
After we have received your 50% deposit on your bookings,
we will reserve the dates requested and send you a
written confirmation of your booked dates. Then when
you send the balance at least 30days prior to your
stay, we will give you instructions and rules for
the house as well as additional information you may
find helpful during your stay. We also request a $260
deposit in a separate check. This is returned to you
promptly if there is no loss or damage, no smoking
in the home and no complaints.
Checking
Out:
Please leave a $60 cash cleaning fee on the kitchen counter. Our manager/housekeeper cleans after each stay. This
must be completed by 3:30 pm so please check out by
11am. All you have to do is empty the refrigerator,
do your dishes, and put your used linens: sheets,
pillowcases, (not the decorative shams) and towels
in the downstairs laundry baskets. You will be provided
with our Joseph site manager's name and number for
any questions during your stay.

The Brown Bear Vacation Home is a private home located
on the West Side of Wallowa Lake near Joseph Oregon.
The area is home of world class fishing, hiking, and
sightseeing. Come to northeastern Oregon to see Hells
Canyon, fish for salmon, steelhead or trout. Hike
and Climb or take the tram up Mount Howard and enjoy
the vast amount of wilderness area near Wallowa Lake.
Go horseback riding, go carting, boating, parasailing,
or just relax and take in the the views of the Swiss
Alps of America.
